Welcome to Brown Line Lounge. Samantha and I designed this 3BR/2BA North Center apartment around everything we love about Chicago—its train history, neighborhood energy, local breweries, and warm, moody spaces that feel memorable. We wanted it to feel stylish but easy, curated but comfortable, and like a true city stay rather than a generic rental.

The space

The apartment has 3 distinct bedrooms—the Club Room, Malt Row Room, and Transit Room—plus a separate office. Each space has its own personality, with rich accent walls, Chicago-inspired artwork, layered textures, and warm lighting throughout. The office is a true dedicated workspace with a desk, bookshelf, and moody design that makes working from home feel a little more elevated.

Guest access

You’ll have the entire apartment to yourselves, including 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a dedicated office, living room, kitchen, and in-unit laundry. We do not offer dedicated parking for this unit, but free street parking is available on the side of the street in front of the house on a first come, first served basis. Most guests can usually find a spot pretty easily.

Other things to note

We like to be upfront: this second floor apartment sits right by the “L,” so you will hear and feel the train during your stay. For us, that’s part of the charm and part of what makes Brown Line Lounge feel distinctly Chicago. That said, we know not everyone sleeps the same, so we provide blackout curtains, individually wrapped earplugs, and sound machines in every bedroom. We also provide Cable TV in the living room via YoutubeTV!

The Neighborhood

-Situated in the trendy North Center area, the apartment is steps away from several famous local breweries on Malt Row (literally neighboring Dovetail and Begyle), restaurants and bars (ask for recommendations).

-It's a short walk to bustling Lincoln Square and Southport Corridor; there you'll find boutique shops and cozy cafes await.

-Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs, is within easy reach, making this apartment an ideal choice for sports enthusiasts.

-Lake Michigan and the amazing Montrose Beach is just under 2 miles away as well.

-You are only 2 blocks from the Irving Park "El" Brown Line station which can get you to Michigan Ave (Magnificent Mile) in 30 minutes and provides easy access to most areas of the city.

-Samantha and I live in the area and can be reached via Airbnb messaging or phone. If you have any questions, please let us know.

Important: Before you arrive you will be asked to complete guest verification through third-party provider Truvi. This is done to ensure we are keeping up-to-date with short-term rental regulations as well as providing both our guests and our properties with extra protection. Truvi will contact you via email and/or text to complete the verification. Please do so prior to arriving at the property to enable a quick and easy check-in process.

You will also be given the choice between a security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver.
